Chandigarh – In a joint effort to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Green Planet Society came together for a significant clean-up drive at the Sector 45 Market in Chandigarh, as part of the 'Seva Hi Svachhta' campaign initiated by the Government of India. The clean-up drive was led by Shri Vishal Kandwal, Commandant of CRPF's 5 Signal Battalion, and witnessed active participation from members of both organizations.
The Seva Hi Svachhta campaign aims to instill a sense of responsibility for cleanliness and environmental preservation among citizens, reinforcing the importance of collective action for a cleaner and greener India. In line with this mission, CRPF and the Green Planet Society organized a clean-up drive in the bustling Sector 45 Market of Chandigarh.
Shri Vishal Kandwal, Commandant of CRPF's 5 Signal Battalion, demonstrated exceptional leadership by spearheading the clean-up drive. Under his guidance, the team worked diligently to clean the market area, ensuring it was free from litter and waste.
The Green Planet Society, represented by its President, Mr. Sumit Bhardwaz, played a pivotal role in mobilizing volunteers and coordinating the event.
